Specific exemption conditions for temporary use of spectrum during Rio 2016 Games

By issuing Act No. 50.627/2016, Anatel has exempted some devices, on a temporary manner, from the need to obtain authorization for temporary use of the spectrum during the coverage of Rio 2016 Games.

In order to be exempted, equipments mentioned in the Act must comply with the conditions established by Resolution No. 506/2008 (only in Portuguese) - regulation on restricted radiation radiocommunication equipment.

Seção XIV

 These devices are exempted from test & tagging procedures provided they are operated outside the venues.

 

The Act No. 50.627/2016 also exempted camera shutters from the need to obtain authorization for temporary use of the spectrum, for use during the coverage of the event.

Triggers with these characteristics are also exempted from test & tagging procedures and their access and use in the places where the Games and related activities will be carried out (venues) is allowed.
